Working with clients such as RBS, GlaxoSmithKline, Diageo and Volkswagen Group, my role was based around distancing myself from convention, making sense of the changing world to find emerging opportunities, and inspiring and facilitating creative collaboration to take advantage. Increasingly, we began to explore how we might work differently with clients to encourage high impact business creativity beyond marketing communications, developing our agency operating model accordingly. As my interests shifted further away from marketing communications, I spent some time learning the principles of design thinking and lean start-ups with the Stanford d.school and IDEO in Palo Alto, California, and more recently with General Assembly.
