Founded in 1991 as Herndon & Associates, Inc., a customized software development company, TBS is a premier consulting company which has developed sophisticated applications for Fortune 500 companies in the Insurance, Banking, Securities, Energy, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Training industries. Provided consulting services to a startup company focused on the development of a secure messaging architecture. Services included Object-Oriented Architecture and Design, Software Engineering, Advanced Security Engineering, PKI management, and Network Engineering. In addition, developed unique and innovative technologies that insured not only guaranteed secure message delivery but without revealing the senders or receivers’ identity, routing, physical address or location, recipients, or communication patterns. Messages are pipelined in such a away that only the receiver is able to open the message and access data about the sender. In fact not even the networking and routing server software was able to access the message or data. The engineering innovations included developing software which provided solutions to many of the known draw backs to the use of TCP/IP, SMTP, and PKI Certificates. These solutions provided improved performance, security and management.

Defense National Visitors Center (DNVS) ProjectLead team to successfully design, implement, and deploy a system relying on a combination of biometrics, PKI & smart cards - Common Access Cards (CAC), to validate the over 4.5 Million CACed personnel. DNVS augmented existing DMDC projects giving security officers near real-time data on visiting DoD personnel. Authored supporting doc depicting specifications, and design, testing, deployment and architectural models. Negotiated with IT to integrate the system and approve new technologies. Defense Cross-Credentialing System (DCIS) PilotLead another team to a successful retrofit of DNVS as the DoD’s entry to the pilot. DCIS used shared government and contractor personnel databases and was a pilot of a single credentialing system for the federal government and its contractors. Authored supporting documentation. Held meetings with contractors and government agency partners. Negotiated with internal IT and outside vendors for resources.

Lead architect managing requirements, design, and implementation of web-based systems and services for large financial services clients. Managed projects employing a modified version of RUP and RDD. Led architectural review of next generation high-speed transactional services facilities of financial institution. Acquired additional revenue through DoD, Financial Services, and Web-Based Services contracts.Highlights:• Developed prototype environment for evaluating J2EE and CORBA-based distributed computing for DoD at DMDC West contributing to architecture of medical services deployed internationally. • Coauthored company’s Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology Certification Exam.• Wrote white paper on developing messaging infrastructure for intra- and inter-application communications for large networking client.• Designed, developed and delivered internal training for UML, MVC, J2EE, and EJBs.
