Responsible for driving excellence across all Manufacturing and Engineering functions - Manufacturing, Product Quality, Automation & Modernization, Chemical Engineering, Product Testing, Tooling, and Sustainability - to develop, optimize, scale, and sustain the manufacturing systems, processes, tools, and materials to produce Nike footwear consistently, efficiently, and sustainably.

Vietnam

Led Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation operations throughout Asia, including owned and partner manufacturing in China and Vietnam.Established and ramped manufacturing facility in Vietnam to pilot and scale advanced manufacturing processes and materials. Responsible for Air Ml partner manufacturing operations in China and Vietnam shipping over 100M pair of Nike airsoles annually supporting footwear, equipment and apparel.

Led engineering teams across multiple platforms to commercialize breakthrough products and advanced manufacturing processes.Developed VaporMax Running and Basketball programs and led Zoom engineering teams through $13M modernization and expansion to triple manufacturing capacity and develop and scale new manufacturing methods.

Directed all Quality Assurance operations for Oregon manufacturing facility. Executed world-class quality management practices, evangelized quality throughout the organization and supported Asia production facilities.Responsible for advancement of quality system and KPI’s, support of daily production and development programs, product integrity and reliability standards and testing, incoming material quality and supplier development, customer support and management of defective material claims. Reduced customer defect rate by 96% and internal scrap rate by 20,000 ppm through unrelenting focus on process stability, measurement capability, part appraisal, supplier quality and customer needs. Supported launch of partner production facilities in Shanghai, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam through implementation of Quality System and Product Test labs. Directly supported partner factory base across 9 countries, cultivating a collaborative partnership through improved communications, expedient resolution of issues, biannual site visits and relentless commitment to customer needs.

Responsible for product quality at owned manufacturing site in Oregon and partner manufacturing sites in Asia.Led continuous improvement efforts, developed inspection methodologies and training to ensure consistency in part appraisal, introduced digital data collection process, managed product specifications, dispositioned product excursions, owned reporting of data across teams.

Managed Yield Enhancement team comprised of Engineers, Technicians and Manufacturing Specialists on four shifts supporting 24/7 operations.Communicated yield and reliability issues to all platforms throughout the facility, managed inventories to meet throughput and cycle time goals, determined proper tool utilization balancing needs of production and engineering, ensured sufficiency of data for appropriate material disposition and issue resolution.

Completed manufacturing engineering rotation program with focus on metrology and part characterization. Developed and implemented measurement system for analyzing odd part placement accuracies, created metrology procedures and validated new equipment, led continuous improvement projects to improve process efficiency and test efficacy.
