Scott is from Mantua, Ohio close to Kent (Kent State Univ.) a small rural town. Scott played football and basketball and lettered all 4 years. After high school received an athletic scholarship to play football and the University of Akron and his team was inducted into the University of Akron Hall of Fame. Scott received his degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice. Soon after graduating, he went to work for Summit County Prosecutors' office as a Criminal Investigator. Scott then went to work undercover for a Drug Enforcement Task Force in Ohio, where he received training from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and training in Special Weapons and Tactics. Scott also used for Executive Protection for special occasions during this time. Scott started taking Minna – Jitsu during his young teen years and later Karate where he received his brown belt in Karate and did some sparring in tournaments and never pursued his Black Belt.Scott has trained with a number of Self-Defense experts in the field of situational awareness and self-defense tactics, both unarmed and armed. He also spent 2 years taking Krav Maga (Israeli Close Quarters Combat). Scott is also a Certified Firearms Instructor for NRA as well as Home Protection / Home Invasion. He also has his Instructor Certification with A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training, a leader in the industry. As a side note, Scott trained a Bloodhound to find missing people and had her certified by North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA).Scott spent a few years as a Strength Coach for Kent State University for their Football program in 1980 and 1981, while working undercover, he was also going to school at Kent to working on his Masters's in Exercise Physiology. Scott also at that time was a Power Lifter / Bodybuilder. Then later in life he Coached high school football in Southwest Florida and was again a strength coach at Florida Gulf Coast University (aka Dunk City) in 2006 and 2007 for their Basketball and Baseball Program (because they don’t have a football program).Copy of Scott and Sacajawea below
