I founded Agile Austin, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to support the practices of agile software development as set forth in the Agile Manifesto. Subsequently I served as President for the first three formative years as the organization grew from nothing to over 130 members and a full complement of programs including workshops, book discussion groups, Executive Luncheons, an open space conference, an expert consultancy, monthly meetings, and more. During this period I also guided the organization to obtain 501c6 non-profit status. I've also served as Education Chair. In this position, I was responsible for Agile Austin's educational programs, including, Austin Community College classes, book discussion group administration, workshops, agile exchange, and other educational programs. In addition, I've been chair of the Keep Austin Agile regional conference and I now serve the organization as its Treasurer.
