As a Senior Manager of Global Infrastructure Operations, I oversee all operations related to x86, Microsoft, Citrix, and virtualization technologies for Stryker's global server landscape.I manage a regionally based global team of 33 spanning 11 countries and languages responsible for 4,500 servers and the support of 25,000 employees. Our primary focus is providing the best possible customer service to our customers.I work with business and financial leaders around the world to direct IT project priorities to enhance the corporate service catalog. I manage an annual budget of $15 million.I negotiated with numerous vendors to implement enterprise solutions to respond to critical account and server administration, security, and monitoring challenges. As a result, my team now has visibility into these key areas, and a mechanism to respond quickly to alerts, incidents, and audit requests. I am a huge believer in infrastructure consolidation to reduce the carbon footprint and generate cost savings. I led initiatives reducing the number of physical servers by 80% resulting in an annual cost savings in excess of $3 million in power and cooling, hardware, maintenance and licensing costs. In this new role I was asked to take on global responsibilities in a newly implemented global IT department. I developed global engineering and operation teams to take ownership of all Microsoft and virtualization technologies for the company, and implemented enterprise class administration tools to facilitate daily activities. These included monitoring and alerting solutions for 150+ server rooms and 25000 PCs, along with the associated governance and a validation process, and the evaluation and implementation of a new Help Desk application.

In this role I was responsible for leading the Tier I through IV service desk and support teams for the Stryker Endoscopy division comprised of offices in San Jose, CA, Dallas, TX, and Puerto Rico. Responsibilities included end to end support for internal customers, all network related technologies including telecom, network and server administration, and the management of 5 datacenters.

Initial role at Stryker. Was hired to provide leadership for the Stryker San Jose Support Teams. Primary goal was to break down barriers in Customer Support and engineer the next generation of applications for the business while managing the San Jose datacenter. Implemented Exchange 2007 for email and began the virtualization of the server infrastructures for the San Jose and Dallas datacenters.
