I'm a geoscientist with over 25 years experience in Linux and Windows geoscience applications and their infrastructure - the software, high performance computing systems, databases, and data for many different vendors’ solutions. Roles have been in development, testing, support, administration, training, workflow, integration, system administration and marketing, in both leadership and technical capacities. Information management, GIS, visualization, and knowledge management have also been strong components of my experience. I'm no stranger to remote working, enjoy working with different cultures, and travel to pretty much anywhere in the world so I'm very flexible with my work environment - the world is my office.I love scientific data, applications, and high-performance computing... figuring it out, digging under the covers, making it all work, integrating all the pieces, developing workflows, and communicating it all to everyone. The roles I've had over the years covered both the vendor and client side of scientific applications and data, in both technical and management roles. This has given me a great perspective and understanding of so many aspects of the geoscience technology world with the technologies themselves, leading technology professionals, working with all levels of technology professionals and management, and the business of technology. My experience working in roles such as software testing, marketing, support, and product planning have given me a lot of skills and experience working with and developing various systems, integration methods, workflows, and visualization/collaboration technologies as well as pursuing both corporate and project data management. Opportunities to work in management have added to those skills and provided me with further insight into the ever-so-important people side of business and the many interesting challenges managers face.
