I do technical/content writing for inventions marketed through Invention Home. In addition, I manage a team of 2 remote freelance writers. In a typical work day/week, I write various portfolios for clients, manage social media pages and complete any administrative duties as needed.

I was one of the two beat writers for the Pittsburgh Pirates via the Pittsburgh Sports Report. I attended most all home Pirates games at PNC Park, and I had full access to the field and clubhouse. I wrote daily game recaps and various feature stories throughout the season. Additionally, I managed the social media accounts for PSR during Pirates games. In the past, I interned with PSR when I was a student at Pitt. Besides Pirates coverage, I worked on stories featuring high school sports, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and other local sports teams. I wrote game recaps and feature stories during my time as an intern.

I worked on the Buying Guides section of www.dickssportinggoods.com, writing various guides on how to buy products located on the DICK's Sporting Goods website. Additionally, I served as a copy writer for different sections of the site, including, but not limited to, hunting, fishing, lacrosse, baseball, hockey, licensed goods, football, and apparel. I utilized SEO practices to provide high-ranking copy material for DSG. I worked closely with other content coordinators and site merchandisers daily to complete copy.Day-to-day processes included writing copy, retrieving images from databases and other FTP websites, editing images in Adobe Photoshop, and uploading all information into content management systems (MDM and Remote Tools).I was a part of the SEO SuperUsers team within the DSG eCommerce department. Our team relayed SEO practices from the SEO team to the content team within eCommerce. I have experience working with title tags, meta descriptions, keywords and keyword tools, and the seoClarity application.
