Pure Water International is a start-up company developing a novel solution for water filtration in third-world countries. Its main project, the CAFE filter, uses an original engineering concept to provide a low power, zero maintenance, off-grid water filtration system. Working for PWI has provided me with considerable experience in a small-scale engineering firm, allowing me to work on aspects of a company that I have otherwise not had the opportunity to be involved with.- In charge of the overall engineering development of a unique, large-scale, water filtration unit- Performing advanced CAD work, including high level BOM management and FEA/CFD analysis- Required to diagnose and provide solutions to problems that arise with the development of the unit- Performed practical validation trials, including designing test rigs to prove and confirm original concept- Constantly exposed to other company activity such as sales and marketing, tasked with contacting relevant companies for collaboration and performing various other marketing activities
