A delivery focused Senior Project Manager with 30 years’ experience providing; project assurance services, developing project management methodologies that are scaled to suit each organisation and mentoring junior project managers, while delivering large, complex application development, application configuration and system integration projects within an enterprise environment. Recent experience as a Project Assurance Lead with IBM on the INPEX account, saw him lead the assurance team to oversee the delivery of 20 separate projects, ranging in size from $300k to $3M. A practical approach to problem solving and an organised and consistent approach to IT project delivery achieved the desired business outcomes by minimising delivery risk.Throughout his career with IBM, he has provided project management reviews of new proposals, to assess the feasibility of successful delivery. This involved reviewing initial estimates for cost and schedule to determine if they are realistic, as well as assessing the proposed project delivery methodology and governance structures to ensure that appropriate oversight was established.Project delivery roles have been true end to end from project initiation to closure, using structured methodologies such as PMI and Prince2 and variations of these as used by specific clients. Projects have been delivered using agile and waterfall methodologies and required complex stakeholder engagement and delivery using local and remote teams, involving in-house and vendor delivery teams. Scott has been a people manager for eight years and has been active in mentoring and coaching programs, as well as being a member of the IBM promotion board for senior project managers.
