In 2008, Scott McLaughlin joined Vista Bank as Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Trust Officer. He has also been a Director of the Bank and the Company since 1985 and currently serves as Secretary to the board of directors of both the Bank and the Company.After attending Washington and Lee University and receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, McLaughlin served as President of Saunders Company, Inc. a wholesale distributor of plumbing and water well supplies in Big Spring, Texas, overseeing all aspects of the business. After Saunders Company was acquired by Morrison Supply Company in 1999, McLaughlin served as Big Spring Branch Manager. Under his direction the Big Spring branch office was among Morrison’s highest performing and more profitable branch offices.McLaughlin was formerly on the board of the Covenant Hospital Foundation and the Executive Board of the Ranching Heritage Association in Lubbock, President of the Wholesale Distributors Association, a Director of the American Supply Association, Chairman of the Big Spring and Howard County United Way, Director of the Moore Economic Development Corporation of Big Spring, board member of the St. Mary’s Episcopal School, and Vestry member and Senior Warden of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Big Spring, Vestry member and Treasurer of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lubbock, Charter President of the Greater Big Spring Rotary Club, President of the Downtown Lubbock Rotary Club (2013-14), and Rotary District 5730 Governor’s Representative and Assistant District Governor. McLaughlin was voted Rotarian of the Year 1993-1994 in Big Spring and was voted in the Top 100 Purchasing Agents by the Supply House Times. Mr. McLaughlin is a native of Big Spring, Texas.
