  • Voyre
Creative Director & Head Of Xr Development
    Voyre Oct 2016 - Present
    Chicago, Il
Sensing that XR and immersive media was going to be a huge opportunity, I started my third company VOYRE. I felt there was a need for an immersive media company focused on narrative and storytelling for virtual spaces. By capitalizing on this emerging market we have created advertising work for FIAT and Panasonic, filmed live concert content for Zedd, Pretty Lights and Electric Forest, told the stories of people all across the US and around the world in places such as Malawi, Singapore, Honduras and Guatemala. We are heavily invested in research and development, both for our internal projects and to support our client's visions. We strategically utilize 360 video, game engines, virtual production techniques, cloud resources and a lot more to transport our audiences to new places.
  • Scott Lynch Productions
    Creative Director / Producer
Scott Lynch Productions Sep 2013 - Oct 2018
    Chicago, Il
Having spent a lot of time as a producer for other directors and after winning 5 regional EMMY awards while working for Zacuto and Cinesthetics, I wanted to be more intentional about my creative development. I carved out a space for myself so I could direct more projects and started my second production company. Notable projects I've been involved in include social content for LL Cool J at Lollapalooza, Electric Daisy Carnival 2019, a multicam production for David Crosby, commercial content for Walgreens and production work on the FOX show The Exorcist. I also received my 6th EMMY award for producing the Heartland EMMY winning commercial for MapQuest "Where Do You Want To Go?".
  • Cinesthetics
    Producer
    Cinesthetics Jan 2014 - Aug 2018
    Denver, Co
Needing a change of pace led me to Colorado, where I started working with a new company called Cinesthetics that was being run by a talented recent graduate from the University of Colorado. Our work mostly supported the music industry by creating content for music artists and festivals, helping them stand out in a very congested marketplace.Leveraging my previous experience as a producer and manager, I gave the company structure in its operations allowing it to take advantage of previous client relationships but grow those accounts value by over 20x. We did this by finding win-win solutions for our clients to grow their brands, sell more tickets, retain customer loyalty, maintain incredibly high quality productions and streamline complicated projects. A documentary we produced called "The Outliers" was awarded a Heartland Regional EMMY in 2015.
  • Zacuto
    Producer
    Zacuto Aug 2009 - Sep 2013
    Chicago, Il
When the custom camera accessories became a bigger part of the business I took on a new role of developing all in house video content to support the companies growing marketing goals. I started the new video production department within the company and oversaw it's growth into a great 7 person team. I was in charge of building out a 2,300 square foot studio, engineered the internal equipment and network infrastructure, kept all projects on schedule and on budget and developed creative brand guidelines for a consistent brand voice. While running the department I produced four Midwest/Chicago Regional EMMY Award winning series: Light & Shadow, Great Camera Shootout's 2010-2012 and FilmFellas, as well as additional shows including "bts", [critics] and several hundred Zacuto product videos to teach our customers about new equipment.
  • Zacuto
    Rental Technician
    Zacuto Aug 2007 - Aug 2009
    Chicago, Il
When I started at Zacuto it's main business was cinema equipment rentals and they were just starting to create their own products and accessories for cameras. I primarily worked in rental support and was responsible for understanding the customer's needs and goals for a shoot, recommending equipment and solutions based on their budget and technical expertise, scheduling resources, inventory database programming, equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Cardboard Box Productions
    Owner, Director, Editor
Cardboard Box Productions Jan 2004 - Aug 2007
    Lansing, Michigan Area
I started my first video production company while still in college. By utilizing campus resources for equipment and building connections within the small local film community I led two different teams to compete in the world finals for Microsoft's Imagine Cup competition in Japan and India, placing 6th and 3rd in consecutive years. Additional highlights in this period were filming music videos in 16mm and in HD, some of which were broadcast nationally on BET, the creation of several short films that screened at film festivals and developing a broad skillset as a director, producer, editor and cinematographer which I used to gain a foothold in the larger market in Chicago.
  • Man Smiling Moving Pictures
    Technical Supervisor, Producer, Editor
Man Smiling Moving Pictures Jul 2006 - Feb 2007
    Greater Detroit Area
The first feature length project I was involved with was a documentary about the animal rescue operations after Hurricane Katrina. I helped the director organize 100's of hours of footage and create transcripts of all of the interviews, edit and develop the story based on their feedback, create proposals for funding opportunities, manage a small post production team, and helped get the film screened at over 40 film festivals world wide.
