In the lead up to MusicNL Week, I was responsible for the scheduling of 40+ musicians over 3 nights at 4 venues, all in conjunction with the annual music industry conference. I populated much of the artist and event content, as well as any material required by the marketing team on the MusicNL websiteI coordinated the launch, sales, and monitoring of online tickets for Music NL Week events. I was responsible for on-site operations including scheduling and supervision of volunteers, ticketing, artist scheduling, and event coordination. After MusicNL Week, I am responsible for writing reports, gathering data, and making recommendations to the Board of Directors and Executive Director on changes to be made for MusicNL 2018.

I conducted many of the day to day tasks that keep the festival running in the ramp up to the events. I had a hand in programming the Shopify ticketing program, providing superior customer service through various communications channels, and coordinating the logistics required for the various events during the festival.

I was responsible for all day to day operations of the organization in Newfoundland and Labrador. This included, but was not limited to : accounts payable, accounts receivable, media requests, social media strategy, and customer service. I reported directly to the Board of Directors and conducted planning sessions for the long term strategy of the society. I connected with and represented the Lifesaving Society in communications with various St. John’s area community organizations, and I represented Newfoundland and Labrador at various national events.

Responsible for tasks essential to running of the festival, including, (but not limited to), : Permits, Event Time Setup, Licenses, Deliveries, Volunteer and Labour Scheduling, Report to, and carrying out requirements of the board, working with various external stakeholders to ensure the festival runs safe and smooth.

Supervised, mentored, and trained staff - both current and new hires. Responsible for the recruitment of potential new staff, and then conducted interviews over the phone and in person. Helped execute marketing programs through direct mail outs, phone calls, and in person counselling. Helped maintain the Centre by cleaning and reporting any physical deficiencies to the main office for repair.

Created schedule and managed 2-3 store staff, tracked and analyzed all ticket sales in store. Helped create ticket sales tracking form still used. Helped create financial policies and store procedures for staff to follow. Supervised the distribution of tickets to the various venues each day during the festival. Trouble shot any ticketing issue with volunteers on site.

I proof read and edited many different types of documents and digital media including web-sites, learning modules, and how-to videos.

I was in charge of everything that was associated with the planning and implementation of the social programming for the 2008 Orientation Week at University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, NB.
