I’m a Professional Services leader at Palo Alto Networks. We are the premier vendor of cybersecurity technology. We have solutions protecting physical networks, virtual networks, IoT and everything in between. I lead a global practice of consultants who are experts in automating network security deployments and operations. A typical day for me includes developing our Professional Services catalog, supporting sales, managing an off-shore engineering team and working with sales and delivery partners. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, I held a similar role at Juniper Networks. Prior to my work in network automation, I led Professional Services teams at a variety of founder-led FinTech firms. I led re-orgs to better manage the “collective wisdom” and improve the leverage of our most senior consultants. I helped create a Client Services group during one firm’s initial move into North America. This was a start-up culture where I did everything from hire the team, develop "best practices" and manage our first client projects. I was subsequently promoted to Global Head of Professional Services.Earlier in my career, I was a software engineer and dev manager. I built trading and risk management applications for a FinTech start-up and at J. P. Morgan. At JP, I sat on the fixed income derivatives trading desk.I started my career in the United States Air Force developing AI solutions to manage the logistics of deploying fighter squadrons. I then built software with rocket scientists at the Central Intelligence Agency and National Reconnaissance Office.I believe Professional Services consultants are the ambassadors of technology firms. The partnerships they build with customers are more valuable than any technology. I love building teams that reward great work and provide people with the opportunity to grow. I’m most proud of my efforts to promote great consultants into leadership roles where they can groom the next generation of talent.
