As an agribusiness owner/operator, Scott managed a 70-acre ranch to raise emu breed stock and harvest yearlings for production of commercial goods, including medicinal oils, lean red meat, and designer leather products. Scott served as Parker County representative for the Texas Emu Association, American Emu Association, Texas A&M Cooperative, and the State Fair of Texas.
