Hello! As a design leader with expertise in design research, innovation, futures thinking, product design, venture design, and product strategy, I tackle compelling challenges through a human-centric lens. After studying accounting and working with PwC and John Deere, I started my career as a high school business and design teacher and administrator in the rural Mississippi Delta.I then joined Education Elements, an ed design studio, working with schools and districts across the country to reimagine student learning. I played a key role in developing and expanding the studio's methodology and authored a number of thought pieces to enhance the space. While at Kellogg and IDEO, I conducted design research to create human-centric solutions to business challenges. I led design research projects for diverse organizations, including UNICEF, Nurture Life, Mars-Wrigley, the Teachers Guild, Lowe's, and various financial institutions. At Impact Labs, I applied design to launch new ventures by guiding and leading cross-functional teams to focus on human needs as they develop new products that solve real-world problems.Now at Intuit, I am building the future of small business growth by operating at the intersection of strategy and design.
