Profile bio

About Scott R.

I'm a Narrative Designer who loves video games, writing, storytelling, and game development. I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where I studied game design more closely with a Writing Concentration. I've loved writing all my life, and I want to bring that passion to the game industry by developing for the media I value most: video games. To get there, I've been designing games for over five years, and I've been writing for even longer. Check out some of my work below!I like giving my games as much narrative attention as they deserve. That can mean letting the player make their own mark on the story through their own combination of choices. It may mean giving characters the opportunity to express themselves through dialogue and tone. It might involve creating levels or spaces within a game that tell us more about the location and what has happened to it. It could even entail injecting themes and values into a story that the player can relate to. Depending on the game I'm making, I consider how I can best deliver the story and how I can use my skills to do so. All the while, I leverage the drive to create narrative content, a careful attention to detail, and my knowledge of each part of game development to help my team make our game the best it can be.
