CMO MagazineAs the Associate Art Director, I played an integral role in launching CMO magazine targeted to Chief Marketing Officers and VPs of Marketing. I assisted in building the initial magazine template including the design of features, columns and departments, definition of photography and illustration styles, color palette selection, and overall tone.

• Provided ongoing art direction and design of quarterly magazines.
• Redesigned publications to accommodate changes in budget, branding, and/or marketing. Initiated a successful redesign of CreativeLiving magazine for Northwestern Mutual to realign it with it’s 30 year legacy, and.
• Maintained consistency of layout and typographic standards by adhering to and expanding upon branding guidelines.
• Served as the liaison with division managers in preparing new business proposals. Provided comprehensive layouts of newly proposed magazines based on client requests and market research.
• Collaborated with editors, freelance staff, hired and directed photographers and illustrators on a regular basis. Oversaw and worked within art budget.
• Clients served: American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAAs), Fidelity Investments, Harley-Davidson, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Northwestern Mutual.
