Stock, Garber, and Associates, Inc. (SGA) is a software development company that specializes in financial software, such as Fund and Corporate Accounting, Payroll, and related SGA Sales system. I work in the IT department, where we help with technical support for our software. As well as technical support, I also assist in setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining the environment for our hosted clients. This includes setting up and monitoring virtual machines, maintaining hosted servers via remote desktop, maintaining and monitoring database backups for our clients, and working with clients via e-mail or over the phone to help assist with troubleshooting. Within the office, I am also responsible for working on various projects to improve our infrastructure and assisting with the management and maintenance of our Microsoft SQL databases, local servers, Active Directory, backups, security, web services, reporting services, general hardware/software maintenance, and new machine/server builds.
