I have worked with Scott for about 8 years, both as his client, and as his co-worker. In either capacity, I have worked many long nights at trial, with Scott. For those of you who have been to trial, you know, and for those of you have not, you should know, working as part of trial team together puts you in a position to get to know a person, perhaps far more than colleagues should get to know each other. While working 100+ hour weeks, you learn not only if they are good at what they do (Scott is excellent), or if they truly fit as part of your team, (Scott quite simply gets along with everyone), but you also learn about their overall character. Scott’s character is beyond reproach. He treats everyone with dignity and respect, even those who may not always offer the same in return. Working with Scott makes what many would think an impossible job, not only possible, but even enjoyable. While, like the rest of us, he is aging, although seemingly slower, as he continues to bring a tireless, youthful enthusiasm to his work that not only inspires me, but the whole team. As important as personality is to a trial team, it still comes down to, "Can you do the work?" Not only can Scott do the work—synthesizing complex information, and reducing it into bite size graphics that judges, arbitrators, mediators, and most importantly juries can understand, he does so at a speed that I have yet to see matched—and all the while, his graphics look good doing it. I was sorry when Scott decided strike out on his own. I have missed him. I know from experience that he is an asset to any trial team. In fact, I myself have recently moved on from Digital Evidence Group, and amongst all the excitement my professional future holds, the prospect of working with Scott again, is up there on the list.
