Scott Walton is Director of CQ Soil Testing. CQ Soil Testing is wholy employee owned and operated soil testing company specialising in the investigation and sampling of soil. CQ Soil Testing is recognised as the most experienced materials and site investigation teams in Queensland, specialising in Pavement and Geotechnical Investigations. CQ Soil Testing is QBCC licensed (#15305465) to carry out Site Classifications and On-site Wastewater Disposal Investigations in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and local government requirements.Scott has over 35 years experience in materials testing and investigation with various organisations throughout Australia. During this period with the Main Roads Department (1985 – 1988) his duties involved all basic soils testing, specialising in the management of remote area site laboratories in western QLD. From 1988 to 1989 he joined Geotechnics on the Sunshine Coast where his role involved primarily material investigations for the design of all manner of geotechnical and residential developments and construction as well as continued testing of MR projects.Upon leaving the Sunshine Coast he took up a position with Hollingsworth Dames and Moore in Cairns as a Senior Soils Technician. It was here that he was first introduced to Contaminated Site/Hazardous Waste investigations. He was extensively trained in all techniques required for the investigation, sampling and handling of various hazardous materials and then was a key member in the performance of many contaminated site investigations including mine tailing dams, landfills and fuel storage facilities. Upon leaving HDM he moved to management positions with Earthtech (Brisbane), SGS (Hobart) and Acirl (Emerald) as well as SunWater in the Burdekin and Rockhampton with responsibilities for many multi-million dollar projects.
