During my time at HP, I filled a dual role of supporting legacy Poly engineer services, as well as migratingdata from those services to similar resources in the HP cloud.I was the lead sysadmin for two Gitlab servers, two of the Gerrit servers, three of the Artifactory servers,two of the Nexus servers, and three of the Jenkins servers, as well as many of the support instances forthose servers.My role involves making sure these servers are up to date, functional, and are operating at optimalefficiency. In order to do this, I regularly interface with the VMWare management team, Cybersecurity, and Network Infrastructure teams to ensure users are able to access the data in a way that is fast, reliable, and secure.My secondary role was the migration of data out of these systems into similar and dissimilar systems in the HP Cloud. This required me and my team to develop several new procedures to schedule peopleresources, coordinate timelines with release schedules, identify the data that required migration, andexecute the actual migrations. For the servers that I am in charge of, this represented terabytes of data and hundreds of person-hours. I am proud to say that despite every roadblock that was placed in front of us, we successfully hit our goals and completed the migrations assigned to us.

I currently own the Jenkins build server and build scripts for the Real Presence WebSuiteproject, and lias with the dev team to enable new features to be added to existing softwarepackages.When I took over responsibility for the CloudAXIS build process, I inherited a disorganized,non-scalable system that relied heavily on multiple servers, all with local Python code forvarious tasks.The system was being modified daily to keep everything working as thedemands on it changed.In the time since I have taken ownership of the process, I haveimplemented a streamlined build process that has reduced the overall buildtime for the project by 50%.By moving nearly 100% of the configuration that the Pythonscripts were handling into source control, I have made it possible to both quick modifyand/or scale the build environment as the needs of the development team change.Additionally, I have added to the process automated unit testing at the beginning of thebuild process and automated feature testing at the end of the process, leading to a higherrate of successful, working builds.

In this role, it is critically important to work closely with the development teams to gain a deep understanding of how the CloudAXIS servers interact with each other and with other Polycom infrastructure. By doing this, I become one of the main points of contact on the team for other Polycom teams, from development, to support, to sales, for information about CloudAXIS and assistance with deploying the systems internally and to customer sites. I also work closely with the documentation and training teams, supplying them with critical information about how to deploy and use the CloudAXIS solution.As one of the main points of contact for the CloudAXIS team, I am able to troubleshoot many issues that arise in the field without having to involved the developers, giving them additional time to work on developing new features for our customers.

As sole QA engineer on projects for the past 4 years, tasked with Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Release, and Patch software testing. Daily tasks involve generating and implementing test plans for all new features in each new software release. Responsible for verifying fixed bugs and supplying final sign-off on release products. Practical knowledge of the complete WiFi deployment lifecycle, from planning and survey, to 24/7 security and performance monitoring, to OSI Layer 1, 2, and 3 analysis and troubleshooting. In depth use of protocol analyzers like Wireshark and AirMagnet WiFi Analyzer, as well as assisting in the development of a proprietary decode engine, have lead to a great understanding of the IEEE 802.11 spec.Have at different times worked on all major areas of an office network to simulate different environments for testing, including: routers and access points (most major brands), switches (Cisco, HP, Extreme), WLAN controllers (Cisco, Meru, Aruba), Radius servers (Cisco), certificate servers (MS), Windows and Linux network service servers (for DHCP/DNS and Active Directory).Drove internal QA push to automate more testing to better leverage existing resources as testing task load increased.
