Supporting and managing offshore operations in collaboration with an Excellent Team(s) in Tanzania, Senegal and Equatorial Guinea. Duties involve; offset review, design rationale documentation, PP/FG plans (including gas buoyancy effects upon the predicted pore pressures). Casing design and kick tolerance data, compilation and submission of Drilling Program(s) to Insurers and the relevant Government Authorties as well as JV Partners. Submisison of detailed drilling guidelines to the Ops Team, Rig and Partners. In addition, a change control management process, along with tool failure reporting and a communications plan was required. Involved in the delviery of several DWOP sessions. Performance reviews and benchmarking along with finalising both internal and contractor EOWR's, AARs and performance reviews. I have written 4 SPE papers which have been delivered between 2009 and 2011 in various locations (Brisbane, Beijing, Shanghai).

Lifecycle well engineer, working on re-entry, abandonment and re-drill of CNS wells, placing expandable sand screens in newly drilled reservoirs. Also designed and planned new subsea tieback wells. I initiated a casing / well design change that led to a 4 day per well operational time saving - simply by changing a shoetrack (basically). Further use of Landmark software packages, along with P1, SAPS (for cost AFE and inventory assignment).

After spending the obligatory 8 months doing rotations as a rousty (cold and wet most of the time), roughneck (i knew every grease point on the iron roughneck) and with the barge (learned all the places to hide on a semi!) i moved onto nights and started doing the good stuff!! DDR's, casing tallies and reports, cementing reports, FIT monitoring and reporting, equipment movement, forward ops planning (daily work instructions) and learnt what everything looks like and how a rig works together. I also during this period started doing the standard IWCF training which becomes so dull after a few decades!
