Client: Société Tunisienne de l'électricité et du gaz (STEG):Responsibilities: Initial responsibility of setting up of facilities and resource, stakeholder identifications. Estimated the cost of construction for all the substations and obtained approval from Top Management. Prepared the construction schedule in line with the AOP of company as well as the project timeline. Identified the risks and estimated the time and cost implications of the risks on projects. Built up communication protocol to ascertain the proper instructions and follow ups can be made through entire duration of the projects.Projects:The Provision of Detailed Engineering Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of 220/132kV Legotlhwane Substation and Associated Works for the North West Transmission Grid Connection Project.Responsibilities: Shouldering the Complete Project Management responsibilities from Post Award to Contractual Closure of the project. Completed design milestone with the design team with active participation towards achieving the reduction in costs. Driving the project with safety and quality even in the stringent constraint of resource availability at North-West of Botswana. Implemented and ensured quality works delivery towards Client’s Satisfaction. Identified the Risks and developed the Risk Mitigation Plan for complying with the Contract Conditions. Managing the civil subcontractor effectively even with severe shortages in resource availability by extending them the timely payments, transferring the knowledge for substation works and so on. Developing the employees from the local citizens to get the work done in line with the Contractual Requirements.

Responsibilities:Initiated the resource requirements, established the project site facilities and obtained the required permits for starting the activities.Prepared detailed manpower, materials & tools requirement and timely raised the Purchase Requisition for just-in-time delivery of the materials at site.Also planned for the Plant & Machineries requirements and made a schedule to engage, monitor and release the plants without incurring additional cost.Directly took the initiative to interact with the Engineering Department and suggested a few changes to be incorporated to save cost and time. In the process, I also interacted with Site Representatives of Client to convince them the changes required.Devised a tool in excel to monitor the cost to control the cost for the local materials and labour and controlling the variation claim by sub-contractors, if any.Ensued timely registering legitimate claims to client for variation due to changes in contract parameters like work scope and time delays etc. In the process I also devised a tool to correctly monitor the site hindrances.Ensured the proper Safety and Quality measures are in place as per the approved HSE & Quality Plan and achieved zero LTI Free time for the last 10 months. Ensured timely submission of Site Measurement Sheets, Invoices, Progress claim of Sub-contractors resulting in achieving the PV.Coordinated between Civil, MEP & FPS related activities leading the team of site engineers to ensure timely completion as per schedule.Coordinated with client's various departments (TED, TCD, TPD etc.) for scheduled start & finish of pre-commissioning and testing activities involving the testing engineers.Ensured world class DEWA Standard of safe work practices and safe work environment involving Safety Officer.

Directed and managed the complete projects except the 3rd Project. which I commissioned almost single-handedly.Made the complete schedule management plan, define the activities, made the activity sequence, estimated the activity resources, estimated the activity durations and developed the complete project schedule.Made the complete cost estimate for the project and derived the budget and the cost management plan as well. Derived the HSE & Quality Plan in line with the company policy and complying with the customer requirement.Made the complete engineering deliverables (Master Drawing List) along with the engineering sub-contractor and got the same approved from client within very reasonable time.Was the first point of reviewing the engineering drawings before submission to client and as a result we got the drawings approved with a very few comments/no comments thus saving precious time in the project duration.During execution stages I mobilised optimal numbers of skilled manpower and thus achieved a cost savings over the initial cost estimate.Also derived the communications management thus enabling proper and timely responses from all the stakeholders reducing considerable time for correspondences.In the actual procurement stages, took the lead for finalisation of technical particulars of different equipment. In this stages I was able to convince and introduce new vendors (complying with GTPs) to Client and thus saved a considerable cost of procurement.Introduced several formats for monitoring and controlling the project progress, quality & safety so that the feedback process is streamlined for meeting desired project timeline.Also identified several risks and developed the risk management plan for mitigating such risk during the tenure of the project. I was appreciated by my upper management for developing such details.Ensured the timely submission of Invoices, certification from Client and payment

Role: Site-in-Charge (Assistant Manager – Projects)Project: 132/33 KV New Sub-Station Project at Contai and 132 KV Bay Extension at Egra& New-Haldia under NABARD scheme (WBSETCL erstwhile WBSEB).Responsibilities: Overall responsibility of the Project Execution from Site Mobilization to Commissioning and closure of the project. Work involves managing Site Engineers, Supervisors & Contractors for Site Contour Survey, Land Development and Structural Civil Work for Building, Structure foundation works, electrical equipment erections and all other related works for sub-station. Job involves Planning, Scheduling of Staff, Manpower, Materials and Machineries along with coordination with client for desired output. Additional involvement of Cost Estimation & Drawing as and when required.Achievements: Single handedly completed the Egra & New-Haldia bay extension works including the foundations. Completed all the foundation activities including piling works within eight months at Contai Sub-Stations.

Ensured the right support to site at right time to enable the site engineers to achieve the targeted performance. At right time raised the invoices and liquidated the due payments in very short duration keeping the working capitals as low as possible. Used the P&M Vehicles with zero book value to avoid the erosion of site contribution due to depreciation cost to be borne by Project Site. Prepared all monthly MIS Reports such as Monthly Financial Status, ROCE-EVA-GM, Reconciliation of Materials as well as LOA Works quantity, Revenue ledger reconciliation, Supplier & Sub-contractor ledger reconciliation.Achievements: In one month completed 28 foundations for transmission lines while self-supervised the site with the help of 6 sub-contractors in a well-planned manner. Also got certification for all the documents related to those foundations and was able to make invoice for the foundations.
