Strived to help optimize TerraMai's production. This included overseeing eleven different machine centers and two kilns. I worked closely with a fabrication and finish shop in order to ensure orders were completed in a timely fashion. I worked with our inventory department to ensure the proper material was being sourced for jobs and the shipping department to coordinate when orders were ready to process. I assisted the plant manager to meet his daily needs and filled in for him whenever he was not present. This positioned allows me to work on our quality control processes and further develop each machine center by obtaining and measuring data collected from run rates. I coordinated with our maintenance department to meet the needs of the mill for breakdowns, along with optimization projects.Some of my daily responsibilities included:- Ensuring a safe work environment for all employees- Ensuring orders shipped on time and communicated status of orders in a daily operations meeting- Monitored raw material inventories to determine drying schedules of kilns- Adjusted production schedules according to machine center and man power constraints - Collected and reported run rates of machine centers and material flows to operations and accounting- Determined best material for job to increase utilization and product yields- Communicated lead times to sales and operations when called upon - Monitored and tracked employees payroll and submitted payroll on a semi-monthly basis- Conducted employee performance reviews and employee progressive discipline when necessary- Identified employees for upward movement in production and provided them with proper training- Maintained the production component of the operations daily schedule

Graveyard Production Foreman for plywood operations. I overseen dryer operations, multiple layup lines/presses, a veneer composer, patch lines, saws and general laborers. Job duties included scheduling manning of work stations, ensuring payroll is entered/accurate and submitted, conflict resolution, production needs are met along with quality.

I worked at different locations throughout Timber Products for the first nine months in order to gain an understanding of the company, along with soaking up the skills necessary to become a good manager, and fill the ranks as needed.

I worked at the Eugene MDF plant in the Quality Control Lab. I processed and conducted testing on samples from daily production as well as conducting special trials. I was involved in learning the processes of the production plant and how to apply them to make a better functioning plant, along with an increased value product. I operated on shift as a quality control operator coordinating with shipping, finishing, line support staff and ABB operators. It was my goal to gain a thorough understanding of all aspects associated with wood composite panels while there.
