Areas of Ownership: Membership Program Management, Incentives Architecture, Product Review Collection and Processing• Designed, implemented, and maintained backend support for user membership programs on the Wish platform (>100k members), offering recurring payment scheduling (processing thousands of recurring payments per day), membership lifecycle management, and exclusive benefits for members.• Designed and launched backend support for recurring free shipping offers, leveraging SQS, Presto, and MongoDB to facilitate several platform-wide sales targeting >100m users at either the individual user or country level. Worked cross-functionally with stakeholders across multiple organizations as a top priority for the company.• Owned the product and merchant review system architecture for the Wish platform. Established key metrics, audited existing system to address legal compliance issues, and led the design, development, and launch of several initiatives related to reviews including an overhaul and rewrite of the review collection flow and review sorting logic.

Areas of Ownership: Time-to-Door Estimation, Payments Integrations• Owned service, data pipelines, and calculation logic for estimating a product’s time-to-door and expanded calculation logic to factor in several logistics factors for increased accuracy. Migrated estimation logic from MongoDB-based calculation to Presto-based calculation with import of calculated estimates into a cached key-value store, improving capability to process large datasets while also reducing estimate fetch latency by 40%.• Implemented several features in the Wish Android client including support for electronic gift card purchase/redemption and UI integrations for additional third-party payment providers.• Migrated address verification service from monolithic Python implementation to Golang-based microservice, achieving >99% uptime and 10-15% decrease in latency. Outlined and managed Kubernetes configuration and deployment for the service.
