Law Firm specialized in Labor and Employment Relations, representing many Fortune 500 Companies and leading regional employers in the Southeast;Mr. Ridley previously served as General Counsel of the Louisiana Association of Business & Industry (LABI) from 1975–1977, where he drafted the Right-To-Work Statute in 1976, as well as numerous other state labor law revisions. Mr. Ridley also served as Co-Chair of United States Chamber ofCommerce Labor Relations Committee’s National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) Task Force, and was the Louisiana Chairman of the U.S. Chamber’s successful effort to block so-called “Labor Law Reform” legislation. From 1980–1984, Mr. Ridley served as Louisiana Governor David Treen’s Labor Law Advisor, and was appointed to the Louisiana Department of Labor Workmen’s Compensation Board in 1982.Mr. Ridley was a regular contributor to American Bar Association’s (ABA) Labor and Employment Law Section on “Developing Labor Law under the National Labor Relations Act,” 1981, and contributing editor for Annual Supplements from 1981–1992. He served on the Executive Committee of the AGC Labor Lawyers Council from 1982–1989.Mr. Ridley also has ties to Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) as a past member of its Board of Directors and Executive Committee; He was General Counsel of LABI from 1975-1977, and was elected Vice-Chairman of LABI in 1991, and Chairman of the Board of LABI in 1992. Mr. Ridley was also named Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Greater New Orleans Chamber of Commerce and served for several years as Director of the Governmental Affairs Committee for the New Orleans Chamber and the River Region.

Head of Labor and Employment Relations, drafted the Louisiana Right to Work Law in 1976, drafted revisions in many of state labor laws and criminal laws that dealt with exemptions for organized labor, did legal and economic research and publications and position papers for LABI, testified and lobbied on behalf of business community before the Louisiana Legislature.
