- Worked with the City of Chattanooga IT department on the creation of the automated data pipeline to the library’s data portal and documented the workflow process: https://github.com/openchattanooga/open-data-automation- Member of digital services group whose goal was to work with library staff to determine ways to improve staff and patron experience. Included taking a community developed web application to check whether a patron is eligible for a library card, applying fixes and improvements, then deploying for staff use: https://github.com/ChattanoogaPublicLibrary/CHAAddressCheck- Opened the City of Chattanooga’s addressing data. Made this data a part of the OpenAddresses (https://openaddresses.io) project.- Participated in the grant process for and managed GigLab: A project, funded by the Mozilla Gigabit Community Fund, to build a inclusive gig-connected space designed specifically for gigabit-related experimentation and learning, application testing and workforce development.- Created a Minecraft world of Chattanooga from USGS topographical data. Funding was also provided by the Mozilla Gigabit Community Fund to purchase Oculus Rifts in order to use this with Minecrift, a patch to add Oculus Rift support to Minecraft: https://github.com/ChattanoogaPublicLibrary/voxel-chattanooga

- Involved as a full-stack developer of web applications built with Ruby on Rails. Also worked with WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla sites as needed.- Developed CrowdFiber, a Rails-based web application for crowdfunding as well as measuring consumer demand for high-speed fiber internet in communities that do not have it or want to expand availability. In July 2013, CrowdFiber was featured in an ‘Editor’s Choice’ article in Broadband Communities, the leading source of information on digital and broadband technologies for buildings and communities: https://web.archive.org/web/20210301095136/http://www.bbpmag.com/MuniPortal/EditorsChoice/0713editorschoice.php- Developed a Rails-based web application for managing manufacturing safety assessments for a business that assesses the safety of the facilities for several major manufacturing companies. Text and image-based data is sent to the web applications JSON REST API via an Android application. This allows the inspectors to store their inspections while they are in the facility and upload them later. This set of applications has allowed the company to finish inspections, which used to take several months to complete, in 2–3 weeks.- Spearheaded, along with staff designer, adoption of various frontend tools and techniques in websites and web applications produced by the company. Most notably responsive design and Sass.

- Assisted a team of community psychologists in the evaluation of a community-based mental health program for emotionally disturbed youth in Northwest Georgia, as well as monitoring data quality of collected data.- Co-developed a database, using Microsoft Access, used in several community-based mental health programs in Georgia. This allowed the team to easily collect and analyze data pertaining to the evaluation.- Developed programmed reports using Visual Basic for Applications, VBScript, and Python. One report I made turned a 24 hour data compilation activity by management staff into a 30 second process.- Developed data cleaning utilities using C# and Python.- Developed e-mail notification software for use in the evaluation using Python.- Designed and maintained initial website for WIN Georgia, a community-based mental health program.
