--Registered Nurse: CO license #1639269; PA license #651754.--Monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms and patient vitals using invasive and noninvasive monitoring to anticipate patient needs, notifying MD's of significant changes and suggesting appropriate patient care. --Critically analyze appropriateness of meds.--Analyze lab data and suggest patient care such as electrolyte repletion and blood administration.--Collaborate with physicians across multiple specialties and lead nurse’s report discussion to patient’s care team regarding patient’s conditions to ensure patient’s and family's needs are met.--Teach patients about their conditions and support discharge planning process up to and including discharge.--Advocate for patients with assessment status changes, resulting in codes being called and/or changes to patient care. --Participate in patient code team; pushing appropriate meds, doing chest compressions, and charting.--Assess and care for patients with multiple conditions including: cancer, myocardial infarctions, blood transfusions; heart, liver, and kidney failure; neurologic disorders such as seizures, CVAs, cerebral palsy, and migraines; patients on EEG with minimal brain wave activity and unresponsiveness to pain; GI issues such as pancreatitis and Crohn’s; chest tubes, COPD, Sickle Cell Anemia, DM, amputations, pressure ulcers, post-operative procedures, and serious wounds requiring regular dressing changes.--Titrate many cardiac drips such as norepinephrine, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, and milrinone to Md ordered parameters.--Titrate versed, fentanyl, and propofol to Riker score. --Start IVs and draw blood via IV sticks, arterial lines, etc.; change dressings and remove PICCs/Central Lines.--Transport critical patients to CT, MRI, and cath lab.--Experience on UPMC Neuro and Cardio-thoracic ICUs.--Ability to speak Spanish.--Lived/traveled extensively overseas; includes Latin American, European, Muslim, and Hindu countries.
