I help lead others toward purposeful, innovative, and inclusive solutions in learning. My focus is on the potential impacts of new technologies and tech innovations on pedagogy, accessibility, and justice in the classroom. Similarly, I also focus on what we, as individuals using these technologies, might do to harness their strengths while diminishing threats so bridges can be built for all learners, providing everyone opportunities to connect, learn, and grow. My expertise lies in academic technology integration, emphasizing experiences designed for learner variability. With a background as an instructor, an academic integration and technologies specialist, and a programmer analyst, I have combined my experiences with my continued growth to advocate for students/participants, instructors, and supporting systems and practices to make success a viable option for every learner. This happens when individuals and organizations are equipped to change perspectives, processes, and cultures. My investment in the change includes promoting awareness and training on inclusive practices such as UDL and digital accessibility.I know it will take people – not technology alone – to build the bridges. And it is here, working with the people, that my empathy and my strengths lay.
