Worked with clients including Rentokil where I was part of a team that migrated Java applications from one service on Google Cloud to another (App Engine to Cloud Run) and updating the version of Java used in the applications from Java 8 to Java 17. I helped write Dockerfiles for containerising Java and Node applications, terraform files for deploying and the management of Rentokil’s Google Cloud environments, BitBucket pipeline files for the product team’s CI/CD pipelines, shell scripts, and supporting Documentation for the product teams and owners. I also helped manage Google Cloud infrastructure, assisted product teams with any queries and issues that appeared, and helped setup Datadog in their applications.My most recent piece of work was with the Department for Transport where I helped migrated a .NET application repository from one organisation to another and used Terraform along with Cloud Build to deploy an alpha and beta product into a Google Cloud sandbox. I also wrote a Dockerfile for the application as well as setup a Cloud SQL Auth Proxy for connection to a SQL database on Google Cloud.My current role is as a Support Engineer with the Home Office. Also worked on a side project that involved data visualisation within Unreal Engine 5. I imported models, and animations into the project, as well as create a simple customisable day and night cycle.
