About Sean Stevens

Over the past 20 years, I have transitioned from being a General Practitioner to taking on a rangeof leadership roles within the medical community and other areas. I am currently a Council Memberat the RACGP, as well as the Owner and Director of Next Practice Victoria Park and the VictoriaPark Respiratory Clinic.Throughout my career, I have built a reputation as a dedicated leader and General Practitionerwith a passion for helping medical organisations manage and drive their general operations andgrowing local clinics in Western Australia. Aside from my current roles, I was previously the WA Chairof the RACGP and a National Board Member. Throughout that time, I was responsible forcoordinating COVID-19 responses with key public and private sector stakeholders, managingbudgets, setting up and overseeing general organisational processes and procedures, managingorganisational risk, and providing strategic direction.Furthermore, I was previously a Board Member at the Como Primary School, where I helped theschool navigate the transition to an independent public school, giving the Board and Principalsignificantly more autonomy over the running of the school. I also previously took on the role ofInaugural Vice-Chair at the Australian GP Alliance (AGPA), as well as my prior General Practiceroles, and others.Aside from my passion for growing GP clinics in WA and playing a leadership role across othermedical organisations, I also have a keen interest in getting the most out of my teams while helpingthem grow. This includes empowering and inspiring colleagues to be their best selves at work inboth group and individual settings. While I take my job seriously, I don’t take myself too seriouslyand like to be upbeat, open and approachable to all colleagues and patients.
