About Sean Gibson

Some people excel at identifying, scoping, and defining problems; others are adept at crafting customized solutions; and some are at their best when it comes to executing those solutions. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to function in all three capacities, and I’m never happier than when I’m working with a motivated group of colleagues to find new and better ways of doing things—and making sure those new and better ways get put into practice. I’ve worked in education, commercial publishing, online marketing, and the legal industry, and in each organization I’ve been a part of, I’ve carved out the same niche: the go-to person for tackling problems others don’t want to, either because they’re too complicated or they’re “not my job.” I thrive in the white space and constantly seek out collaborative environments filled with positive thinkers who never want to stop learning and growing.In my less-than-abundant free time, I like to write stories. My most recent novel, a comic fantasy called The Part About the Dragon Was (Mostly) True, inexplicably received a starred review from Publishers Weekly and achieved #1 bestseller status on multiple platforms. Clearly, there is no accounting for taste (or perhaps there were just numerous clerical errors).I also coach youth sports (tee ball, flag football, basketball) and proudly claim responsibility for what will undoubtedly be a mediocre generation of rising athletes.
