Secondment to the Health Innovation Network National Central Team to deliver the Economic Growth Director Development National Programme.

I manage, co-ordinate and support innovators, providing advice, using my in-depth knowledge across therapeutic areas, comprehensive project management skills and organisational abilities.I understand the principles of effective evaluation, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure evaluations are completed successfully, to timescale, and any subsequent agreed plans, identifying issues and finding and implementing solutions, and prepare progress and ad hoc reports.I ensure good working relationships between Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria and its clinical, academic, and other partners and collaborators, regularly liaising with external organisations, including NHS Trusts, Universities, funders and commissioners. I regularly represent Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria at external events.

I was a Database Manager at Newcastle University’s Clinical Trials Unit, project managing the data for Phase III and IV pharmaceutical trials, device trials and surgical trials, as well as those of service organisation and delivery, and of complex interventions aimed at behaviour change amongst professionals, patients and members of the public.I managed patient information, attended monthly trial management group meetings, produced and presented data quality and progress reports, which reported on trial progress and issues. Internally, each trial team met weekly to discuss key milestones. I also worked closely with clinicians and industry partners across a diverse portfolio to understand their research and site research teams locally, nationally and internationally.
