I grew up in regional Victoria, going to high school at Kyneton Secondary College before moving to Ballarat to commence my university studies at Federation University Australia. I've always had a passion for designing and building, and hence my chosen career path was in engineering, specifically structural. My first job was as a basketball referee, teaching me communication, confidence, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Other casual jobs have included waiting at a cafe, and delivering pizzas, both of which require good communication skills, and the ability to develop rapport with customers quickly and efficiently. I've also undertaken lots of volunteer work, with the Sunbury Agricultural Society, Fed Uni Schools Outreach, Fed Uni Schools Engagement, and Anglicare. All of the volunteer roles involved communicating with kids, sharing my story of how i got to where i am, and inspiring them to attend further education. I also like taking the initiative to help develop clubs and groups, first being president of the Fed Uni Ultimate Frisbee club, and currently the Secretary of the Ballarat Ultimate Frisbee club, for the past 2 years. I thoroughly enjoy attending meetings, expressing and discussing my opinion to develop the best possible outcomes, and then going out and putting ideas into action. My latest and current job is working with Downer Utilities on the upgrade of the Sunbury Recycled Water Plant, supporting the project engineers and managing tasks of my own within the project.
