I have a strong interest in the silvicultural aspects of forestry, and the understanding of conservation and sustainability within an environments flora. Despite the many invasive species that have inhabited The southeastern United States I understand the importance of conserving all that grows and is produced to sustain human and wildlife ecosystems. My goal has always been to fight for proper conservation within natural resources, because not all natural resources are renewable. I understand that the rate in which we as humans consume these resources, it becomes a rising threat to our wildlife and human benefits. Working in the field of forestry I feel is a great career choice to ensure the safety, conservation and preservation of the United States natural ecosystem. This in turn allows humans to benefit from the natural resources provided by the forests. After all, we all share a common entity with wildlife and that is the woods and water, we all rely on these resources to keep us alive, so why not enforce the policies behind conservation. Outdoor education is a big deal, and being able to teach others young and old the importance of sustainability means more to me than anything else. I want others generations behind me to enjoy these wildly diverse and beautiful ecosystems and I would love for them to do the same.
