The testing process involves the full installation of air conditioning units and heat pumps, including pipe installation, pressure… Show more As an Engineer working under the Quality Assurance department, I oversee a team of technical operators involved in the testing of all Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning products through the design development stages of new products, correct to the testing standards as well as being involved in the investigation process for returned customer complaint units. The testing process involves the full installation of air conditioning units and heat pumps, including pipe installation, pressure testing, vacuuming, refrigerant charging and recovery. As well as external failures, I have the responsibility of investigating on line test failures for newly built products. Each investigation and development test has in depth reports which are written to explain in detail our findings and there is also the scheduling side as each test requested must be slotted into the schedule of the test rooms.I have also been involved in various projects throughout the company, some of which include the upgrade of the gas detection system within the test facilities for the detection and extraction of flammable gases and the most recent being the incorporation of a camera vision system onto the main production line which detects any miss-wiring of compressors within the company’s air conditioning units.
