-Apply specialized knowledge of jurisdictional or specialty chemical regulatory requirements to company chemical products.-Disseminate chemical compositions for hazard communication, permits and other regulatory needs.-Worldwide product classification.-Chemical compliance of existing and future product lines through evaluation and risk mitigation to ensure continued compliance on the market.-Prepare data and documents required by government, third party and other authoritative bodies to support product registration, reporting, and other regulatory activities within a region or area of specialty.

-Ensure all products are placed and maintained within the global marketplace in a compliant manner as relates to FIFRA and State pesticide regulations.-Provide product stewardship support of new and existing products through support of initial product design, study protocol development and review.-Coordinate the execution and monitoring of aquatic and mammalian toxicity studies, as well as environmental fate and metabolism studies.-Monitoring global chemical regulatory compliance, as well as the review, interpretation and dissemination of chemical regulations that may impact Baker Hughes.-Provide training to employees on pertinent regulations, pesticide use and global registration of Baker Hughes products.

Manage compliance and product development activities, including but not limited to:-Performing USMCA calculations to determine the country of origin using the net cost method and issuing USMCA/COO certificates for products.-Securing export licenses for chemicals regulated by the chemical weapons convention (CWC), utilizing the SNAP-R database under the Department of Commerce and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)-Business and New Product Development support-Managing the safety data sheet database for all commercial products for compliance to GHS and OSHA standards.-Compliance with government regulatory agencies (EPA, OSHA, FDA, US Customs)- Managing the sampling program for all commercial products upon customer request for R&D purposes and qualification.-Compliance with cGMP obligations -Quality and On-going Business Support

FDA: Accurately interpret food contact regulations related to the polymer products that Kaneka produces or imports into the US. Food Contact Suitability: Prepare food contact application statements based on Code of Federal Regulations as relates to the polymer products that Kaneka produces or imports into the US. Migration Testing: Prepare migration testing protocols for new polymers that will be used in food contact applications. SDS: Manually prepare safety data sheets and maintain SDS database for Kaneka products and intermediate materials. DOT: Proper classification of products for US transport as well as label creation Canadian NSN: Prepare New Substance Notifications to introduce new products into Canada TSCA: Investigate TSCA status of products and imported raw materials. Prepare polymer exemption reports. Oversee required reports. Prepare Pre-Manufacturer Notices for new or existing products. Prepare end of year (EOY) reporting documents for polymer exemptions filed for polymers imported or manufactured the prior year to the EPA. REACH: Meet data requirements for raw material registration with the European Union and designated European entity European Union Plastic Directives: Certification of Kaneka products for use in food contact applications Customs: Determine correct HTS classifications. Pursue opportunities to reduce tariffs by innovative reclassification of materials. Research and approve one-time imports and exports. TSCA 12(b) compliance. Internal database maintenance for TSCA and Customs compliance Project Management: Building construction compliance with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). Coordinated and managed multiple plant site remodeling.
