I managed daily operations for general duty policing while on duty. I ensured the proper response to and investigation of calls for service while planning for the changing nature of policing within my area and seeing how the work myself and the members I worked with fell within the needs of the community, province and country.

I Supervised members responding to calls for service and attended complaints to provide immediate oversight and supervision at crime scenes and during unfolding events. I was a general duty investigator on a watch who was responsible to respond to any and all types of complaints while I was on duty. During this time, I trained one new police officer while I was also learning about a new city and province as I had previously spent 5 years in Saskatchewan.

As my first post, I learned how to do police work, and became active in the community. My duties included responding to calls for service and proactively seeking out enforcement opportunities. I also worked within local schools and with various local groups to educate regarding law enforcement, and ensured I got to know community leaders in order to find out the needs of my community.

Coached competitive swimming involving athletes between 10 and 14 years. Was promoted from assistant coach to head coach, during which time I developed the entire group of 14 swimmers to making provincial championship standards. 5 of the girls were top 8 in the 800 free for 11-12 year olds. 1 boy also achieved a provincial record in boys 11-12 1500 freestyle.

I coached young swimmers aged 7-14 at Jasper Place Pool in Edmonton. My duties were to develop young athletes, and in my time I coached several swimmers to Age Group Championships, and one swimmer to a provincial record in the 50 backstroke.
