After joining the Parachute Regiment, I have had many achievements which led to progression throughout my career. These include, but are not limited to: completing the promotional development course into becoming a Lance Corporal which gives me the qualification to lead a team and develop people management skills. Completing the Physical Training Instructors (PTI) Course, again, strengthening my leadership qualities by being the lead PTI for my platoon where I was responsible for their health and safety along with their fitness levels. Managed an armoury with specialised kit and equipment, ensuring documentation, maintenance and reporting of fault procedures were adhered to. After spending 6 years in the Parachute Regiment, I moved to Willis Towers Watson where I worked within the Cloud Services team. In this time I grew my technical, problem solving and critical thinking skills by completing and gaining a distinction grade in Level 4 DevOps Engineering. I have now begun my new chapter with Velonetic as a Sr Analyst Project Manager where I’ll be working with the Transformation team to implement digital solutions for the London insurance market.
