I’m an IT professional with 20+ years of experience working in the education sector; I consider myself hardworking, conscientious, and reliable. I’m passionate about IT, and I believe that IT system(s) should make life easier for people in their work, and if this is not the case, something is not quite right that needs resolving. I like a challenge, and I’m also the sort of person who does not give up easily on a challenge.   My role is to lead the engineering department (technical, non-technical), which involves line managing field engineers, including HR tasks, recruitment, scheduling engineers with customers (on-site and remote), staff training, being an escalation point for engineers, reviewing and implementing processes and procedures, identify improvements in the department and the broader company. Contribute to companywide strategic meetings and round table discussions. Work with all departments in the company to ensure customer projects are delivered to the customers’ expectations. I also carry out field engineer tasks as required to meet the customer or business needs.
