I am a professional photographer living in the Hampton Roads area of coastal Virginia. During my 26 years in the military (both Air Force and Army), a passion for photography grew as a result of being stationed and deployed all over the world.Koach Photography is a veteran-owned business whose name is linked to a military call sign. While deployed to Iraq, the battalion staff to which I was assigned used the call sign, KOA (Hawaiian for warrior). The primary staff positions were KOA 1, KOA 2, etc. As the battalion chaplain (abbreviated CH), I adopted the call sign KOACH, and it stuck.While I thoroughly enjoy photographing wildlife, landscapes, and still life, photographing people brings me the greatest joy because my clients trust me to create enduring memories they may not otherwise be able to obtain.
