In this international organisation, I work with the Secretary-General to support our new Clusters of Research Excellence which we have jointly created with the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA).I support this collaborative effort between universities in two continents from our base in Brussels to sustain excellent, constructive and trusted relations with policy-makers, across a number of Commission Directorate Generals (DG RTD, DG INTPA, DG EAC, and the EEAS), as well as with national representatives in appropriate sub-groups of the European Research Area. I also lead policy monitoring and development on responsible internationalisation, UK & CH association to Horizon Europe and engaging in the European Research Area discussions on international cooperation in R&I.
