Coordinated responses from plumbing industry, utilities and energy advocates, calculated water and energy savings and wrote staff report to present findings. Water saving regulation adopted August 2015 and will save California 38 billion gallons per year.Led replacement pool pump motor appliance efficiency rulemaking to improve motor efficiency. Coordinated responses from pool pump industry, utilities and energy advocates, calculated water and energy savings and wrote staff report to present findings. Proposed standard will save California 500 GWh electricity per year. Represented Energy Commission on the Governor’s Inter-Agency Drought Task Force. Researched and evaluated a certification program for innovative leak detection and control technologies. Reported results in the Report to the Governor and answered questions from state and public stakeholders.Represented Energy Commission on the US Department of Energy Dedicated Purpose Pool Pump rulemaking effort. Successfully advocated on behalf of the Commission for the first nationwide standard that will save 3.9 Quadrillion BTU when implemented.Managed University of California, Berkeley inter-agency agreement to perform economic analysis in for the Standardized Regulatory Impact Assessment (SRIA). Coordinated and provided direction to UCB team to successfully deliver Computers and Displays SRIA on time and meeting requirements.
