As the Operations Manager I am responsible for driving continuous improvement & Customer Satisfaction by managing the deployment of the operational framework at IPS. Lead and/or support Continuous Improvement Process Solution (CIPS), including customer satisfaction, quality, safety, productivity and employee relations in a Electric Motor Repair facility.

• Led over 320 personnel in the operation, upkeep, and maintenance of a US Navy destroyer, ensuring excellent readiness and operations. • Successfully completed Board of Inspection and Survey above the fleet average, demonstrating that the command’s training, maintenance and safety programs were effectively managed and executed.• Conducted evaluations, career counseling and mentorship for junior officers, resulting in maintaining retention levels above the fleet average.

• Provided outstanding career mentorship and guidance to 800 Officers at the midpoint in their careers, ensuring that they understood how best to maximize their personal impact and growth in the Navy.• Identified a deficiency in the division officer career path and developed a solution that remained within the community end strength requirements; such that future ships would have enough officers to fill the leadership positions. • Provided locally generated databases and spreadsheets to better analyze officer career progression, with datasets of approximately 10,000 records extracted from COBOL mainframe programs.

• Led cross-functional team to develop a tool that measured fleet readiness, including staffing, training and equipment issues, synchronizing data from 35 direct reports.• Led a team across seven directorates in conducting operational research to provide actionable metrics, ensuring return on investment of limited resources.

• Coordinated $40 million upgrade to the AEGIS weapons system and ultimately the successful operational evaluation of the weapons system with four missile shoots and over 2000 rounds of 5” projectiles.• Led 120 Sailors across two departments to provide operation, maintenance, and repair of all weapons, the AEGIS weapons system, communications, and information technology networks onboard a U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser. • During a 4-month emergent repair away from home port, developed and executed a plan to ensure Sailors had opportunity for home leave and still deliver the ship on schedule.

• Led a team of 150 Sailors across 5 divisions responsible for pre-deployment training and certification of ship's crews in 8 different mission areas. • Overhauled the method for conducting cruise missile training from simulation to utilization of the weapon system, ensuring that operators received accurate training. Coordinated with 10 other training commands and three Fleet Commanders to institutionalize the new standard for the Navy.
