Quick Note: My profile is horribly out of date. I'm still a nice guy but some opinions on software development have changed or matured. (My LinkedIn account is not a high priority for me but I'll come back and update someday.)Old summary:I have been programming video games for just over 10 years of this writing with 3 shipped titles under my belt.At first, I fancied myself as an avid gamer with an knack for computer programming. Years later I much prefer to think of myself as a software engineer first and a video game enthusiast second. There's something about writing well-engineered code that I find exhillarating, even though most clients (and sadly, too many programmers) only want to see a "working" product with no care for the machinations of logic behind it.And of course, I still love video games, and all the wonderful opportunities they give you to challenge your software engineering sensibilities. ;)This past year I had started two new jobs. An enjoyable but all-too-brief (due to funding) jaunt with Spacetime Studios and just recently with Junction Point (part of Disney Interactive).Specialties: Video game development, C++, C#, .Net, Lua, Python, object orientated programming, and other acronyms. I think I make a good generalist and I'm confident in my problem-solving abilities.Public speaking and communication (through Toastmasters International) is something I enjoy and take seriously. Most people would rate themselves high marks in communication because they've been interacting with other humans their whole life. I think it's tough to excel at and deserves study.
