At Keen’s Portland factory, I was responsible for the inbound deliveries of components, outbound deliveries of finished shoes, and all aspects of inventory control – from creating documentation to processing transactions in SAP. As the first person in this role, I established processes from the ground up and developed automated tools to improve efficiency & accuracy (using VBA macros, SQL queries, and UPC’s). Day-to-day tasks included creating warehouse pick lists & audit sheets, validating receipts & consumptions of materials, processing cycle counts, and auditing transactions from the inventory system. I extensively used Excel – including vlookups & pivot tables. Through strategic planning & preparation, I eliminated overtime hours from the annual physical inventory counts. As needed, I reconciled WIP, did the MRO ordering, coordinated samples, and managed the accounts payable – which included coding invoices, tracking recurring bills, and managing the hours of temporary employees.Stretch Assignment: I worked on a stretch assignment with Global Logistics, where I helped transmit shipment notices to the DC, corrected DC inventory via adjustments, and validated & processed transloading activity.

I was on a team that was contracted with Microsoft, and we were responsible for loading & auditing transit time master data into back-end tables of SAP. We received raw data from each of the companies that Microsoft ships with (globally), which included the number of days to deliver from each DC to zip codes throughout the world – down to 5 levels of transit types (standard shipping up to various expedited options). After scrubbing the data, we uploaded it into SAP (in batches) and audited the entries. While these new tables were being created, I was also the lead analyst for maintaining the original ‘TROLZ’ transit tables that were still in use (which used generalized shipping conditions based on geographic regions). I was also the lead analyst for any gATP requests & inquiries (which is a back-end hierarchy of rules to optimize DC product distribution and fulfill orders). As needed, I added and maintained ShipVia and SCAC codes in SAP. When the employment contract was transferred to an international team, I created extensive process documentation and remotely led the knowledge transfer
