I lived in Japan for 2 years after graduating high school and learned to speak fluent Japanese while volunteering my time. Upon returning, I earned a BS in Business Management with a focus in Marketing & International Business from BYU-Idaho. My career at Sutter Health began in marketing for biomedical engineering services helping with capital equipment budgeting and analysis. With the recommendation of the Sutter VP of supply chain I became a consultant with Aspen Healthcare metrics and worked on RFP analysis and negotiations, presented to steering committees, and ultimately saved ~$100 Million for the company. I then transitioned to a position in Finance where I worked with Sutter self funded health plans, in addition to streamlining and automating processes. Finally I transitioned to Sutter Physician Services as a Senior Business Analyst where I led a team of five analysts before creating the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence as the Enterprise BI supervisor, supporting up to 35 separate BI projects across the Sutter Health enterprise. I returned to Sutter Finance as the BI, Data and Analytics Manager, leading 6 technical analysts to provide data, reporting, and analytics to support System Finance reporting, our health plan, Wellness, EAP and others.
