Paktika Provinence, Afghanistan

Team Chief of a Security Force Advise Assist Team in support of the Afghanistan International Security Assistance Forces. Responsible for the welfare, training, readiness, deployment, tactical employment and execution of the deployed mission for a 12-Soldier team of combat advisors. Advised and Assisted two Battalions of Afghan Border Police on leadership, staff development, planned border security operations, and focused on areas of the Battalion's training. Coached a district level Afghan Uniformed Police force on improving their capabilities as a Rule of Law Enforcement organization and increased the units survivability in their district and on the battlefield to continue the rule of law. Lead my team to coach, teach, and mentor more Afghan Security Forces than any other deployed SFAAT team chief in Eastern Paktika Providence. My Leadership directly affected my counterparts in the 5th ABP Battalion's movement towards independence in several critical areas which included; framework operations, employing mortar fires intelligence fusion, mounted and dismounted counter IED, logistical sustainment, and garrison support.

Battalion Operations Officer for the Headquarters Battalion, U.S. Army Garrison Command Fort Belvoir, responsible for the readiness sustainment of over 2500 assigned and attached Soldiers in the Military District of Washington. Maintained oversight of administrative and training support of 35 of the garrison's 150 partner organizations and command and control of the headquarters company and military police detachment. Supervised a staff team responsible for plans, operations, training management, information and physical security, modern army combatives, automation support, ceremonies, taskings and force protection. Reviewed, analyzed, and evaluated all command policies to assure compatibility with higher headquarters regulations and guidance. Disseminated taskings and mission requirements to the battalion staff and subordinate units through the development and publishing of military orders and instructional guidance.
