I work with the high school students almost year round helping them improve their design and CAD (SOLIDWORKS) skills. Each year in January a new competition is presented to all the teams worldwide that are participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). From that point there is approximately 6 weeks for the team to design, build and practice with a competition ready robot. During the build time I provide feedback on the designs and help get them moving in the right direction when they are stuck. It's always challenging but also worth it.

While working at Resharp I have helped with incremental changes to the G2 design and then took those learnings into helping redesign from the ground up, the G3 version of the machine. For G3 we implemented the use of PDM for our CAD management and also started using a master model technique for modeling all of the components of the machine. This has allowed us to make top level changes (like the overall footprint of the machine) and have all the subsystems update accordingly.

• I’m a Certified Solidworks Professional as well as a Certified Solidworks Trainer.• Designed models for the 3D Print Lab Showroom and custom parts for potential customers to demonstrate capabilities of the technology, and opportunities for applying the technology to their specific use cases. • Provide pre and post sales support, training and technical support for SolidWorks users in the Bay Area.• I have taught classes to over 300 professional SolidWorks users in Solidworks Essentials, Advanced, Mold Design, Electrical Routing, Piping and Tubing, Sheet Metal and Weldments.

• Primary mechanical engineer for many touchscreen solutions, 12 of which are now in various stages of mass production.• Designed a touchscreen solution for a Tier 1 customer that lead to 10 more design wins with them. These design wins were responsible for over 30% of Neonode’s 2014 revenue.• Work with our electrical, firmware and optical engineers to produce the best product and user experience possible.• Work with the customer’s Mechanical and Industrial Design engineers to ensure our solution fits in the allotted space and conforms to their design guidelines.• Interface with the molding vendors for DFM (Design For Manufacturing) purposes.

• Creating 3D models of various connectors with proprietary data removed for customer use.

• Provide engineering skills training and support to local high school youth.• Assisted students in designing and building a robot for participation in regional and national competitions.• For the 2009 – 2010 academic year, the team placed 1st in Boston Regional, 2nd in Granite State Regional, and made it to the Semi-Finals for their Division at the National Competition.

• Lead engineer for redesign of major product line for the Oil and Gas Industry resulting in performance enhancement and a 12% manufacturing cost savings. Achieved cost savings through innovative design ideas that allowed elimination of costly parts.• Worked with other engineers to develop new technology that led to product performance enhancement.• Provided initial design and quotations to Application Engineers for CPOs (Custom Product Offerings), and final design and drawings for orders that were placed. Completed one CPO per week on average.

• Designed and brought to market two products for the Boeing 787, creating an estimated $20 million annual revenue for APCD. Lead both products through prototyping, tooling, in-house testing, qualification testing, international manufacturing, and into market. • One product line was a family of plastic clamps with silicone overmolded cushions used to hold pipes and wire bundles in place on a plane. The other product line was a family of plastic wire harnesses used to connect various systems of a plane.• Troubleshot defective products and worked with supply chain and manufacturing to remedy problems.• Maintained customer communication on new product availability.
